When I was first pregnant
with Liam, I knew nothing about baby carriers. I didn’t even want one. Mostly
because I thought all baby carriers were “crotch danglers,” which are
essentially bad for baby’s alignment. I couldn’t imagine myself carrying my
sweet boy around while he just hung awkwardly. How could I do that to him?!
Thankfully, my mom kept
pushing the issue as most moms do, and I finally gave in to the idea of babywearing.
I began educating myself on the ins and outs of baby carriers and babywearing. All
I can say is, “Oh my goodness!!” There’s a whole world out there dedicated to
babywearing, and if you take the time to look there’s plenty of information for
expecting parents and seasoned parents alike.
Lucky for you, I already
did most of the groundwork. The main thing to keep in mind when choosing a
carrier, regardless of which one you choose, is child placement. You want to
make sure your child sits in a natural position like they would when you carry
them in your arms whether in the front, on your hip or on your back.
So which carrier did I
choose?! Ergobaby hands down!! More specifically, the Ergobaby Classic Carrier in Galaxy Grey.
This is the first ad I saw featuring the Ergobaby Classic Carrier in Galaxy Grey. Wouldn't you fall in love? |
Why? When I first saw the
Ergobaby carrier, stars shone. Naturally, I fell in love. Not only does it have an out
of this world star design, but it holds your baby in an ergonomic, natural
seated position while keeping you comfortable. Believe me when I say it’s super comfy, I
walked 5ks with Liam in our Ergobaby and we loved it!! It definitely encouraged
me to stay active and fit.
The Galaxy Grey carrier
is made of 100% soft cotton with a neutral grey exterior. It sports embroidered white stars on one of the shoulder straps and on the side of the waist strap.
It also includes a white and grey star print design on the hood and lining of
the carrier. The cushy padding featured on the waist and shoulder straps help to evenly distribute baby’s weight between your hips and shoulders. Everything about this carrier is adjustable, so it fits a variety of body types and heights. Ergobaby carriers allow parents to go hands-free while still
keeping in style. It’s the perfect way to bond with baby!!

This color combo has always been my favorite of the Ergo line.
ReplyDeleteI really like the ergo because of the design and how much weight it can hold...it is also very husband friendly...
ReplyDeleteEmma Hart : Beautiful blog! :) Gotta love the ergo. In search of a new one since I'm using a hand-me-down and it's straps are broken
ReplyDeleteJossie, way to go. Looking forward to see you more at the group gathering.
ReplyDeleteI definitely need a hubby friendly carrier such as the ergo. He holds her like she is a glass doll and I'm afraid that he is going to accidentally drop her! As for what I like about the ergo, I love this color combo and I love the adaptability to different sizes as I am heavy set and my hubby is not.
ReplyDeleteI would love to win this as the Ergo is SO comfortable and the Galaxy Grey is definitely unisex!
ReplyDeleteI love the quiet color with the added fun of stars. Very gender neutral!
ReplyDeleteI'd really like to win so I can carry my baby around more. I have tried a wrap but when on the go it's kind of a pain. I think this kind of carrier would be great especially when out and about. I like that it is comfortable for baby, that I can share it with my husband and that it has gasp... pockets. Can't get that in a wrap!!!
ReplyDeleteI love the Ergo because I have a much better chance of getting my husband to wear this than my Snow Rainbow Girasol lol!! Galaxy grey is also my favorite of all the Ergo's!!
ReplyDeleteI'd love to gift it to a friend!
ReplyDeleteI love the star design, neutral color, and how much weight it holds!!
ReplyDeleteI have always wanted an Ergo.
ReplyDeleteI like all the extra padding as well as the color and weight range. I haven't been able to spend the money on it since the baby can't face frontward, but I've been dying to try one out!
ReplyDeleteGreat blog! I would love to try an ergo as I have heard great things about them.
ReplyDeleteI love the stars, and the neutrality of this carrier. It can be used for little boys or girls. I would use this carrier to tote around my beautiful nephew!
ReplyDeleteI'd love to win the Ergo carrier because I'm expecting my first baby and this carrier is so comfortable and easy to use! My favorite features are the hood, pattern and that it grows with baby from infant up!
ReplyDeletewould love this for my grandson that's coming soon... love the style of this carrier! it looks very comfy and effective!
ReplyDeleteI love the color... and how I can use it until my baby is older. I really hope I win.
ReplyDeleteI would love this for an upcoming baby! I love the neutral colors and how much weight it holds!
ReplyDeleteLove the ergo baby! The feature I like most on ergos is the way the padding is equally distributed on both hips. Much more comfortable than some other SSCs I've tried.
ReplyDeleteI would love to win.. I have a 3 month old and this would be perfect for him! I love it because the design is one of my favorites and that it keeps him close to me :D
ReplyDeleteMy favorite feature is the very heavily padded waistband!
ReplyDeleteI got a fussy baby that wants to be held by mommy all the time! I need to get some stuff done!
ReplyDeleteI would like to win this carrier I am due with baby #2 in Feb. and could put this to good use. I really like the colors and design.
ReplyDeleteI want to WIN the Ergobaby Classic Carrier in Galaxy Grey because I have a newborn girl who currently lives on me and I often need both hands to care for my 3 year old twin boys. My favorite feature is having my hands free but then the hood is really great too.
ReplyDeleteI love grey and would love to win an ergo!!
ReplyDeleteI love the Galaxy Grey and think it is awesome that it would work for both kids!
ReplyDeleteWould love that carrier for my nephew.
ReplyDeleteI would love to win the Ergobaby Carrier!! I just found out I'm pregnant and would definitely love this for my little one! My favorite feature is how gender neutral it is!
ReplyDeleteBecause Ergo carriers give great back support and my son is HEAVY for me! One of the best features that sets it apart from other carriers is the hoodie.
ReplyDeleteI'd like to win because my daughter is so heavy so I need some help to get her around! She's outgrowing her pumpkin seat and she's only 5 months. I like that it's ergonomically correct.
ReplyDeleteLove the gray!
ReplyDeleteKiddo's 5 months old, and already a super chunk, so I'd love a different carrier than the "economical" choice we have right now. I love that the Ergo is kinder to the wearer and the baby!
ReplyDeleteI would love to win the Ergo Carrier because I have heard so many good things about it from Moms that actually use it. I like the design and the style as well. Looks very chic!
ReplyDeleteI would love to win this because I have no baby carrier other than my moby wrap and Little man needs support, which this seems like it will offer!
ReplyDeletevery great to wear baby
ReplyDeletei like to win because i need one and i like that it holds your baby in an ergonomic, natural seated position while keeping you comfortable.
ReplyDeleteI was oohing and awing over all the awesome features and then... I saw the hood! I love that little detail. I like to try talking my kids for walks once a day, but I hate to take my baby out if it looks like it might rain. This removes the excuses!
ReplyDeleteI love that it's gender neutral so I can pass it down to another baby, and the little hood is a huge plus for nursing while wearing baby.
ReplyDeleteI've been looking for a more structured carrier for my baby & this is one of my top choices. I like that it has so much padding & support for the wearer!
ReplyDeleteI'd love to win this because I loved wearing my first baby but didn't have a carrier that was nearly as nice. I really want a good one for baby #2. I like that the straps are so padded. It looks really comfy. The grey color also doesn't scream "baby", which I love.
ReplyDeleteMy son is due in January - this will come in really handy so I can hold him while still taking care of my crazy 3 year old :) I love that the straps are padded and very adjustable!
ReplyDeleteI would love to have this for my little guy! I love that I can keep my baby close & keep my hands free while chasing a toddler. I love it can be worn on the front or back.
ReplyDeleteI am on a "find-the-best-carrier" mission. So far, we have the K'tan, the Moby wrap and the Mai Tei Sash. They all have their pros and cons, but the Ergo is the one carrier I've coveted since pregnancy but it's always been out of our price range. I would love to win this carrier and end my mission!
ReplyDeleteI want to win this so I can carry my little one while keeping up with my 5 year old! Its tough to play with him while having my 7 month old in a stroller... so this will help me play with BOTH my sweet babies! I love the extra padded shoulder straps and hip support for baby. Lauren B.
ReplyDeleteI love the pattern! I really like that I can back carry in this carrier better than most I've seen!
ReplyDeleteLove the smooth look of this ergo!
ReplyDeleteI would love to win? My favorite design is how the baby sits and how it supports their hips!
ReplyDeleteI want to win so that I could carry my new grandson. I also like the comfort features of this carrier.
ReplyDeleteI love the look of this carrier and my 6 week old son will look adorable in it! Ergo is the best!
